HYDRAULIC REPAIR

We work on hydraulic pumps, cylinders, actuators, control valves, clutches, pistons, pumps, tanks, solenoids, reservoir, accumulators, change the hydraulic fluid, filter. We inspect all the tubes, pipes and hoses, seals, fitting and connections.

HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS

Hydraulic circuit boards can have several types. The path the fluid takes is what determines the type of circuit. Open center circuits use pumps to supply a continuous flow. The flow returns to the tank through the control valve’s open center. When this control valve in the center, it provides that open return path to the tank and the fluid in not pumped to a high pressure. The fluid’s pressure will rise to meet any resistance, so the pump has a constant output. If the pressure rises too high, fluid returns to tank through a pressure relief valve. Closed center circuits supply full pressure to the control valves, whether any valves are actuated or not. The pumps vary their flow rate, pumping very little hydraulic fluid until the operator actuates a valve. The valve’s spool therefore doesn’t need an open center return path to tank. Multiple valves can be connected in a parallel arrangement and system pressure is equal for all valves.

HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS

Hydraulic cylinders are the core of many hydraulic systems. Our common practice is to start by determining what is not working properly. We inspect for any leaks on parts or seals. Then we drain out all of the hydraulic fluid and look at the piston rods to see if there are any visible damages. We inspect he piston seals, the rods, cylinder bore and repair, fabricate or replace any broken or damaged parts. Normally we replace all seals and o-rings with a new ones. We clean each of the individual parts. We completely put everything back together and test the hydraulic to make sure everything is working again.

HYDRAULIC PUMPS

Pumps supply fluid to the components in the system. Pressure in the system developed in reaction to the load. So a pump rated for 3,000 psi is capable of maintaining a flow against a load of 3,000 psi. Pumps are powered by an electric motor that give out a power density ten times its motor volume. The motor is connected by gears, belts and couplings to reduce any vibrations. Common types of pumps are gear, vane, axial or a radial piston.

CONTROL VALVES

The control valves route the fluid to the desire actuator. This sometimes consists of a spool inside the housing unit. We go into the housing and make sure nothing is getting blocked, all the gears and springs are in the right position. This can be the most costly and sensitive part and any hydraulic system to repair or replace.
